During the last seventy-5 years Citizen has expanded its enterprise all through the planet and has accomplished recognition as the international brand. With money getting tight like it is for absolutely everyone these days, and being aware of how selective I am when it comes to watch features and top quality, I assumed it was a poor time for me to start searching for a new watch to purchase. But a past medical condition began causing tremors and weakness in my hands and wrists, so the main watch I have worn in current years had to go. It was a spectacular Swiss-created stainless steel automatic with the works, but it was too heavy for me to comfortably wear any significantly more for any length of time. With that as my backdrop, I decided to appear for a new "everyday wear" watch (i.e. fit for casual and business wear), but it had to have all the following features:
- Analog with Date function,
- Water-resistant rating of at least 100 meters,
- Be "self-propelled" - either solar, kinetic, or an automatic mechanical - but NO batteries to replace,
- Luminous for basic night-viewing,
- Sapphire crystal, and
- MOST IMPORTANTLY - Titanium watch and band (LIGHT-weight was mandatory).
Being extremely familiar with watches in common (somewhat of a hobby thru the years), I knew that a watch with all the above functions, in particular the Sapphire and Titanium, would be incredibly difficult to obtain inside our tight spending budget of $250 or much less, particularly a watch with a trustworthy name that looks classy and could be expected to work for years to come. Soon after searching at hundreds of watches on the internet and in individual at jewelers more than the past 6 months, I was fortunate sufficient to come across this prize. AMAZON.com had it for substantially less than the ideal nearby jewelers could offer (20-25% less than most) though still retaining the complete five-year warranty covered by Citizens. More than the years, I have owned and come to appreciate the top quality and form of Citizen Watches. This watch has not been a disappointment! You won't uncover a far better decide to buy if you are seeking for a watch with high-end features on a tight spending budget. I hope your reason for wanting a titanium watch differs from mine (i.e. wish you the greatest in wellness!), but whatever your reason, you won't be disappointed wearing this beauty!
PRO's: Great value - capabilities/price unbeatable, Reliability - Citizen's reputation and warranty, Titanium - rather lightweight, Sapphire crystal - practically scratchproof, Eco-Drive - no routine battery replacements, Water-resistant rating of 100 meters allows for swimming and showering with watch on, Look - classy but practical fitting for casual and formal attire.
CON's: Although telling the time in the dark is not tough at all with this watch, some persons may perhaps locate the following to be a "CON": Luminosity restricted to Hour and Minute Hands and the Numbers "12" and "6" along the dial - no other hour markers glow.
...and I'm pleased to say the least.
D. Miller's review above is spot on and I cannot add substantially detail.
What I can say is that the picture is fairly accurate. The body and band of the watch are matte but with a bit of shine. Semi-matte if you know what I mean? The face is black, but it really is high gloss and has a silvery shine in the light.
The band comes XX-massive so most average humans will require links removed. No major deal. A smaller adjustment is readily available on the clasp itself as usual.
The band is produced in China and is nicely produced. Not an arm-hair-puller. The movement is from Japan.
Awesome watch. You will not locate anything close to this price tag point with solar, titanium, and a sapphire crystal.
- Eco drive technology is fueled by light and it by no means desires a battery
